Global warming is a threat that is going to wipe out civilization as we know it; unless we take urgent action, we are literally doomed.

Yet, with scientific facts that are available, do individuals really comprehend the reality of it all? What will be the tipping point that will lead people to change their behavior?

Humans and nature construct one another, however people so far still do not see the responsibility as theirs. We need to know whether people's attitudes are the consequence of ignorance, disbelief or lack of interest. Even among those who do know about climate change, there is a wide gap between what people say and what they do.

We are at a turning point, the society, as a whole has to intervene. The impacts of global warming are already being felt. If we do not act now, climate change will not only dramatically affect the well-being of people around the world; it will cause irreversible damage to the environment.

Rising sea levels are starting to inundate beautiful natural areas forcing people out of their homes, the intensity of severe storms are increasing, and melting glaciers are drastically changing the world's map. Furthermore, in view of the fact that the world currently is eating more than what it is producing, RISING food prices is increasing. The decline in stocks and storage levels will result in exhaustion of our most basic supplies in the near future; increased risk of droughts and floods as consequences of global warming will bring up imminent crop-yield losses as well.

In spite of everything, many, hand in hand we can do little things that can make a difference. By molding green values deep into the society, there is a glimmer of hope for us all.

Moreover, whether passion was sparkled, who could say that we cannot change the world?
